Photographing families in their native clothing is so beautiful and at the same time, very meaningful. Take for example the Matthews family. They did half the session in western clothing and half in the saris, I would rather photograph women in saris any day. The intense colors are beautiful and it is so complimentary to their skin tones and beautiful dark hair. They seem to bring so much energy to the portrait. A portrait like this not only celebrates family it also celebrates heritage.
